Dr Biraj Patel is an American Trained Endodontist. He received his dental degree (BDS) from the University of Birmingham, (United Kingdom) and completed his US specialist training in Endodontics from The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA) earning his certificate and Master (MS).  Prior to moving to the USA, Dr Patel worked in a private practice and as Speciality Dentist in Restorative Dentistry at the Birmingham Dental Hospital/University of Birmingham.

Upon completion of his endodontic training he worked in specialist endodontic practices in the USA.  He has chosen to return to London and join us here at Scarsdale

​

Dr Patel has presented and won awards at multiple international conferences and is an author of numerous scientific publications. During his residency, he was actively involved in research and won awards at the American Association of Endodontics meeting for his Oral Research Presentation. He was an author of the publication: COVID-19: Implications for Clinical Dental Care in the Journal of Endodontics, which received international recognition.

Furthermore, he serves as a reviewer for several journals and is part of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Journal of Endodontics. He continues to publish in endodontic literature as well as holding  an Adjunct Professor position in the Department of Endodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (USA). He is involved in training of future endodontists and lectures internationally,  keen to pass on his knowledge.
